Scottish singer Midge Ure tells of upset after someone tried to mug him in enormous daylight
Ultravox singer Midge Ure shows told of his disappointment after someone tried to mug him in broad light-weight.
The Vienna singer in addition to the Live Aid co initiator says a would-be criminal attempted to snatch his mobile phone while he was out and about towards central London on Thursday.
Ivor Novello and Grammy award winning Midge posted facts the incident on his Twits account.
He referred to: “Someone on a bike attempted to snatch my phone at my hand in central London sunday. In broad daylight! inch
He added: “Came close to nowhere on the pavement, placed the grab, missed and as a result knocked it out my hand after disappeared into the traffic.
“Desperate times. What’s the world provide you with? ”
Fans have been completely upset to hear the Cambuslang star, who just got a Scotland’s Champions lifespan achievement award, had been specific in this way.
One said: “Hope you are okay Midge. This is awful. This is why I help keep my phone tucked away as you’re I’m in the street. You never notice who’s about. Take care around the world x”
Another added: “I’m sorry to hear that Midge, it must have really shaken you up. Hope are actually ok, take care. ”
Midge later responded to the concern and referencing a James Bond quote said: “All excellent thanks. Not shaken, quite frankly stirred up! See things i did there? ”
Midge joins other London famous people who have been victim to this kind mugging attempts in recent times inclusive of Jenni Falconer and Choose Rinder.
Jenni said in her experience: “These kids on bikes came at least me, pushed me as grabbed my phone. I chased after them but I was never likely to catch them on their bikes. ”
She got her phone back due to off duty cops being on the scene.
Judge Rinder said that his phone was ‘grabbed out of my hands by three boys wearing balaclavas’ while he was out in London in March.
