Nicole Brown’s sister blasts Kim Kardashian for ‘distasteful’ O.J. Simpson joke
Kim Kardashian West has been slammed by family of Nicole Brown for making “distasteful” jokes about O.J. Simpson in a recent Saturday Night Live monologue.
Kim said it was because of her father she met her first black person and asked: “Wanna take a stab in the dark at who it was?”
Her father, attorney Robert Kardashian helped acquit OJ Simpson during a controversial and highly publicised 11-month trial in 1994 after he was accused following the murder of OJ’s wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.
“O.J. does leave a mark — or several, or none at all; I still don’t know,” Kim joked in the monologue.
Tanya Brown, sister of Nicole Brown, told TMZ this week that the jokes were “beyond inappropriate and insensitive” and that her sister’s death should not be portrayed as a joke.
She said it was also shocking and hurtful to hear the audience laughing at the distasteful jokes.
The two families were once closely linked as Kris Jenner, Kim’s mother, was close friends with Nicole Brown for years leading up to her death.

Tanya Brown argued that Kim should have pushed back on the jokes and refused to perform them out of respect considering the family history.
This isn’t the first time that members of the Kardashian clan have been asked about the controversial murder case, in fact, both Khloe and Kim Kardashian have previously refused to comment on the issue.
On an episode of ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’ on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2017, Khloe was asked by James if she thought OJ was guilty – and in response, she chose to eat a fish eye instead of answering.
Kim has previously been faced with a similar question when she was interviewed by Jennifer Lawrence on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
On recalling her last encounter with OJ, Jennifer asks Kim if she asked him if he did or not in reference to the murder.
Kim responded: “I just never really go there.
“I have so much respect for his children, and I feel like my mom and Caitlyn both say a lot on it and are really vocal and I just feel like his kids, it must be really hard for them so I just try to stay away from it.”
