Sam Heughan supports Chicago Bears during American Football game

Outlander star Sam Heughan is enjoying his time in America as he supports the Chicago Bears during an American football game.

The 41-year-old Scots actor has been across America in recent weeks appearing at Comic Con events for Outlander, as well as enjoying himself at the football too.

Heughan captioned his post at the game: “Let’s go @chicagobears!! So good to be back at Soldier Field, first team and game I ever saw was here in 2019. Let’s GO!!!! Da Bears!!!”

Sam’s Outlander co-star Graham McTavish, who plays Dougal Mackenzie in the hit show, replied to his post “Bring me back a cap!!!!”

Some fans didn’t appreciate Sam’s support for the Chicago bears.

One fan wrote: “You spelled let’s go Packers wrong.”

Another commented: “Wrong team Sam!!!!! #GoPackGo

A third said: “Sam you should really be a Green Bay Packer fan instead.”

Fans won’t have to wait long before Sam’s next exciting project is out as next month on November 9 his book with co-star Graham McTavish is out.

The book titled ‘The Clanlands Almanac’ is released early next month and follows the two Scottish actors and their adventures around the country.

The duo wrote their original book Clanlands as a companion to their hit show Men in Kilts during the first lockdown as they were forced to take a break in filming.
