Lorraine Kelly calls show guests ‘flower’ as she’s always forgetting their names
Lorraine Kelly is one of the most recognisable TV presenters in the UK known for her friendliness but she has admitted to being forgetful when it comes to names.
During an appearance on Jimmy Carr ‘s new show, I Literally Just Told You, the 61-year-old presenter spoke about her bad memory and how if she forgets a name she will call her guests ‘flower’.

Quizzed on how her memory is by the comedian, she admitted: “It’s not wonderful. I’ve basically gotten to the stage now, I just call everybody ‘flower’ because I’m hopeless at people’s names. I do forget people’s names so yeah, that’s what I do.”
Lorraine then went on to explain that she uses names like flower, petal, love, gorgeous or angel to hide her bad memory.
Fans loved seeing Lorraine’s appearance on the show and took to Twitter as it aired.
One fan commented: ” @reallorraine well done on winning I literally just told you, really enjoyed watching and for a great cause too #ILiterallyJustToldYou ”
“Lorraine’s wild guesses are paying off! #ILiterallyJustToldYou#Literally,” penned someone else.
Someone else tweeted: ” #ILiterallyJustToldYou love how Lorraine is bare foot. Her joy at winning too”
But, other viewers seemed to get a little tired of Lorraine’s lucky guesses on the show.
One user ranted: “Is anyone buying the whole ‘oh gosh, I don’t know the answer’ from Lorraine, who then gets the question right? She does this whole ‘I’m just an airhead’ thing a LOT #ILiterallyJustToldYou#Lorraine ”
“Lorraine Kelly pretending she doesn’t know the answer, but somehow managed to guess correctly 3 times in a row…. Please #ILiterallyJustToldYou,” penned another.
Someone else said: “Lorraine shouldn’t have been rewarded for saying “opaque” though. It was incorrect given it’s a memory show #ILiterallyJustToldYou (If it goes down to the wire…)”
