Glasvegas postpone first Scots show since 2018 after positive Covid test
Glasvegas have postponed their first live show since 2018 after experiencing a Covid outbreak in the band.
The forthcoming SWG3 gig in Glasgow was set to take place n Thursday (February 24).
The Mercury-nominated indie rockers, fronted by James Allen, will now have to play one month later.
In an announcement to fans they said they would reschedule the show to take place on Saturday, March 26.
The band wrote: “Hello. We are absolutely gutted to announce that our sold out show at SWG3 in Glasgow scheduled for Thursday 24th of February will be postponed due to a Covid 19 break out within the band.
“We are really sorry to all those who bought tickets and made all kinds of arrangements in their lives to get to the show.
“It will be disappointing to many people and we can only apologise for that.
“The last time we played in Glasgow was 2018 so we are desperate to get back on stage again!
“We know our home town show will be extra special as there has been something different about the crowds on tour this year. It’s hard to explain what it is or how it’s changed but it has.”
The Geraldine hitmakers released their fourth album ‘Godspeed’ the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Later… When the TV Turns to Static’ – in April 2021 after an eight year wait so it’s been a long time coming.
