Kate Middleton gives rare glimpse of her handbag contents as she arrives at COP26

Prince William and Kate Middleton were almost mistaken for ordinary commuters as they arrived in Glasgow for the COP26 climate change summit.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were photographed walking through Glasgow Central station as they arrived in the city ahead of meeting with world leaders at the conference.

In the snap which was shared by the Network Rail Twitter page, the couple could be seen wearing the same clothes they were later pictured in that afternoon while meeting Scouts.

And Kate was armed with her trusty Smythson tote bag, costing around £645, which gave royal fans a rare glimpse of what she likes to bring with her on trips.

So what was inside? Well is appears some folders and possibly even a slim laptop – maybe Kate was doing some work on the train?

Meanwhile, according to the book, Kate: A Biography, she also tends to carry four items with her – a compact mirror, blotting paper, a handkerchief and lip balm.

And if her bag is big enough, the book says she sometimes brings her camera to snap some personal photos.

During their visit to the Scouts, William and Kate made vegetarian burgers, repaired bicycles, and helped to re-wild a grassy bank at Alexandra Park in Dennistoun, Glasgow, while world leaders met at COP26 nearby.

The workshop was part of the international Promise To The Planet campaign, which aims to teach 57million Scouts how to lead more environmentally friendly lives.

Eddie O’Rourke, who supports Scout groups in Glasgow and Lanarkshire as district commissioner, described the royal couple as a “real inspiration”.

Later Kate dazzled in a royal blue dress as she and Prince William met world leaders at the COP26 summit.

She wore an Eponine coat dress and paired the £2,400 dress with navy heels.
