The Chase’s Jenny Ryan left fuming after ‘being fat shamed on GP phone call’

The Chase star Jenny Ryan was left disgusted after being ‘fat shamed’ on a phone call with her GP.

Jenny, known better as The Vixen to millions of viewers who tune into the popular ITV game show and its spin off Beat The Chasers, fumed about the experience to her Twitter followers.

As reported by Chronicle Live, the quizzer posted early on Monday afternoon: “Isn’t modern life great?

“Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don’t have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!”

After her initial post sparked a number of retweets, Jenny then clarified exactly what had been said to her, writing: “Do you know your current weight?… Oh… That’s *significantly* lower than last time, well done.

“Not good enough though, is it?”

Last week, Jenny, who reached the final of X Factor Celebrity in 2019, made the candid confession that, despite her high profile job as a TV quizzer, she was in fact the ‘weakest member’ of her own pub quiz team.

Once again taking to Twitter, she posted: “My quiz team Pericardium are (at time of Tweeting) top of @QuizLgLondon Div 1 despite my regular appearances this season.

“Don’t @ me but I am the weakest quizzer in the squad, enjoying playing alongside these quality teammates.”

Last week, Jenny also went viral on social media after confessing that she initially thought her bout of coronavirus was a particularly brutal wine hangover.

One Twitter user replied: “Jenny Ryan is all of us,” with another reacting: “Jenny Ryan is everything to be fair.”
