Rod Stewart shares dismay over Piers Morgan’s GMB exit saying he misses the former host badly
Music legend Rod Stewart recently said in an interview he misses seeing Piers Morgan on ITV breakfast show Good Morning Britain.
Piers quit the show earlier this year after the presenter made controversial comments about Meghan Markle, sparking over 50,000 Ofcom complaints.
The 76-year-old musician told the Radio Times about the importance of television in his household, before getting onto the subject of Piers.

He said: “We have TVs everywhere: in the workshop, three in the gym, one at the indoor swimming pool.”
Rod admitted having screens all over the household made lockdown more bearable.
“Because we were in our huge bubble here in Essex,” the star added: “We’ve got a football pitch too, although we haven’t got a VAR screen yet!”
The musician then admitted he would rather watch news channels than conventional programming, with the likes of CNN, BBC and Sky among his favourites.
It didn’t take long for Rod to turn his attention to the popular news programme, Good Morning Britain.

Earlier this year, Rod’s pal and outspoken GMB presenter Piers Morgan parted ways from the ITV show.
Piers’ exit came following his remarks regarding Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview, which saw Piers claim he didn’t believe a word she said.
Piers’ comments sparked a backlash from viewers and even led to Ofcom receiving a swathe of complaints.
The Duchess of Sussex had stated in her Oprah chat that she felt suicidal and that concerns over hers and Prince Harry’s son’s race had been raised by an unnamed royal.
Since Piers’ exit, ITV bosses have enlisted the help of a number of stand-in hosts alongside Susanna Reid, including Richard Madeley and Adil Ray.
But weighing in with his thoughts on the new-look GMB, Rod admitted he “missed” his old pal at the helm.
The record producer added: “He was superb…especially with politicians.
“I think they go to the University of Avoiding Answers.
“I love Piers, I miss him badly,” Rod added to the publication.
Piers’ exit from GMB didn’t mean he’d cut ties from ITV completely.

The former GMB star will return to the network soon with the last of his Life Stories series which he filmed with Kate Garraway.
However, 2022 will see Piers begin an all-new role on a rival broadcaster where he will launch his very own show on the Rupert Murdoch-owned News Corp.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
