Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow shows off baby bump while looking for distractions

Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow has given fans a glimpse into her new pregnancy as she answers a Q&A with fans on her Instagram.

The Scottish former reality TV star announced her second pregnancy earlier this month in a sweet Instagram post, this is her second child with her husband Jamie Jewitt.

Camilla, from Dumfries, met Jamie on the ITV dating show in 2017 and the couple have been together since going from strength to strength – including their wedding and birth of their first child, daughter Nell.

The couple welcomed one-year-old daughter Nell in October 2020 and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in front of family and celeb pals this summer.

As they prepare for the latest addition to their family, pregnant Camilla took to Instagram to allow fans to ask her “anything”.

To kick off the chat, Camilla posted a casual snap of herself in black jeans and a black long sleeved top which clearly showed off her baby bump.

The reality TV star captioned the post: “Procrastinating rather than finishing off a few end of year admin bits of work today, so thought I would try another quick one of these.”

As fans began to ask questions, she revealed she was currently 16 weeks pregnant and that there would be 19 months between daughter Nell and the new baby when it is born.

She wrote: “No I didn’t find it easy at the start. I had a burning, stinging sensation while feeding and a deep stabbing pain between feeds.

“All the support was online and although everyone I spoke to was supportive, it was tricky to identify the problem over FaceTime/Zoom.

“At 5 weeks I was at the end of my tether and felt pretty broken, but I was able to see a lactation consultant in person and she immediately figured out the latch problem was the cause of all the pain.”

Camilla revealed that after 10 days of working through it – and watching lots of YouTube videos – the pain gradually began to subside.

She continued: “Suddenly it all began to click and by 3 months I was pain free. Since then (apart from the occasional teething phases) we have been very lucky and had a straightforward journey.

“I should say that I always felt supported to make whatever decision worked best for me and Nell and part of the reason I persevered was because it felt right for us. It was like it was so close to working, I just hadn’t got there yet.”

Giving advice to new mums, Camilla added: “I would always say do what is right for you and your baby.”

Another fan asked if Nell understood that she is about to become a big sister.

“I don’t think so,” Camilla replied. “She’s still so little, but we’ll just keep talking to her about it as the pregnancy continues. She is such a loving little girl and will be a wonderful big sister.”
