Sex and The City stars speak out about Chris Noth sexual assault allegations

Sex and The City stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have spoken out following allegations of sexual assault against their co-star Chris Noth.

The three leading actresses took a stand to support the women who have accused the 67-year-old, who plays Mr Big in the series, of sexual assault.

The actors released a statement on social media following the claims, which the actor is categorically denying.

They wrote: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth.

“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences.

“We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

Chris played Carrie’s on off husband Mr Big who was killed off in the first episode of the the show’s current reboot titled And Just Like That.

Three women have since come forward to accuse him of sexual assault with two claiming that the publicity ahead of the sequel reminded them of their ordeal.

The Hollywood Reporter published details last week of two women who reportedly separately contacted the outlet to tell their stories.

One woman claimed she was attacked by Noth in 2004 and another said her ordeal took place in 2015.

A third woman also came forward following their allegations and said the Law and Order actor forced himself on her in 2010.

Noth told the Hollywood Reporter via statement: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false.

“These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.

“It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

The actor has subsequently been dropped from his role on The Equalizer, where he starred alongside William Bishop and Queen Latifah.

Universal Television and CBS said in a statement: “Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of ‘The Equalizer,’ effective immediately.”

Talent agency A3 Artists has also removed him from their books, confirming: “I can confirm that Chris Noth is no longer a client.”
